Review by MNF Dancer Jess
Genre: Comedy
Rating: PG 13
Starring:Owen Wilson, Kate Hudson, Matt Dillon, Michael Douglas, Amanda Detmer
Overall Rating: B
I have to say the previews you see on t.v. sell this movie. The funniest parts of the movie you already see on the t.v. previews, now those parts are funny but there still has to be a full movie. The movie itself is about a young married couple, Carl and Molly, who our starting out fresh in the world. The humor starts when Carl's best man Dupree loses everything and needs a place to stay. Dupree is a bachelor who still lives life like a kid and Carl is trying be an adult at a corporate job owned by Molly's father. To make matters worse, Dupree uses his spare time to become a great companion for Molly. Even her dad and the neighbors are falling for his carefree wisdom and charm, frustrating Carl to no end. As you can imagine this brings on a whole bunch of comic catastrophe and a small bit of romance. I have to say I thought this movie was going to be a lot better then it actually was- if your an Owen Wilson fan then it's a must see.
