Rated: PG
Runtime: 93 minutes
In the movie, detective Jacque Crusoe (Martin) is assigned by Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Kline) to investigate the murder of France’s head soccer coach, and the owner of the Pink Panther Diamond. The diamond went missing after the murder. A strange list of suspects such as a soccer player, the team trainer and Xania-an international pop superstar-comes together. Xania was also in a relationship with the murder victim but had found him cheating shortly before his death.
The movie follows Crusoe through France and New York as he entertains the audience through a fairly empty story line using an extreme accent and his extreme clumsiness.
The movie is very funny with a silly sense of humor, Crusoe is clumsy, bumbling and often gets in extreme situations-hurting himself and others along the way.
The ending has a scattered resolution, meaning all the pieces don’t tie into one another for the final ending product of the film. It is, however, a happily ever after story and the good guys come out on top.
My Rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
