"Click" was definitely one of those movies that are completely different from the previews. The previews made it look hilarious because it stars Adam Sandlar and Kate Beckensaile but it was more of a tear-jerker than anything.
The show starts out with Adam, Kate, and two of their children. Adam is working at a good job but it's taking up all of his extra time, stopping him from hardly ever seeing his family. His wife misses him and this all slowly takes a toll on their family. Adam is working his was up in his job and wants a quicker way to get there. On top of all of that him and his wife are fighting because he is never home and doesn't spend time with his children. So he goes to Bed Bath and Beyond to purchase a universal remote control from none other than Christopher Walken.
So he has the remote and starts skipping ahead in his life. First it's simple little things like skipping fights with his wife and getting his promotion a lot sooner than he would have. But then something goes wrong with the remote and it just starts fast forwarding through random events in his life. Pretty soon, his parents are very old, his kids are dating, his wife divorced him because he's never around, etc. Then he finally realizes that he shouldn't be trying to skip though all of his life and just enjoy because now he's had everything taken away from him that he's ever loved and completely missed his children growing up.
He goes back to Christopher Walken and tries to give the remote back but then something "magical" happens with him and Christopher says that he can't give the remote back. So he is forced to sit there while his life literally flashes before his eyes. He missed very important things in his familys' life. Finally he just gives in and doesn't fight it. It eventually fast forwards to his own death but then there is a twist.....
I can't give away the ending but as you can see it doesn't really sound like a movie that will make you laugh. It did have it's funny parts but more than anything I was crying during the movie. So overall it was a great concept for a movie but it came across as something totally different in the previews. If you are an Adam Sandlar fan then you should go see it because you get to see a completely different side to this actor.
